Everything you need to know

Da Hong Pao is one of China’s most famous oolong teas and comes from Wuyishan in Fujian—the traditional home of Chinese rock teas.

The mineral-rich mountain landscape of the Wuyi region and its characteristic processing give these teas their distinctive aromatic depth. Our Da Hong Pao is made from the Qi Dan cultivar, which is closely connected to the history and tradition of this renowned tea. This distinguishes it from blends of different Wuyi cultivars that are also frequently sold under the name Da Hong Pao.

Its large, dark leaves produce a bright orange infusion with complex woody and roasted aromas, delicate orchid notes and subtle caramelised sweetness. Across multiple infusions, its long finish continues to develop from cup to cup.

A layered Wuyi oolong that gradually reveals its distinctive depth.
