These Terms and Conditions apply to orders and purchases made through the STEEP STATE TEA online store.

1. Scope
These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed through our online store.
By completing an order, customers accept the Terms and Conditions in force at the time of the order.
2. Products
We make every effort to present our products, descriptions, ingredients, origin information and images as accurately and up to date as possible.
As tea and herbal products are natural products, minor variations may occur, in particular in colour, shape, aroma or appearance.
Such natural variations do not constitute a defect provided that the essential characteristics of the product are not affected.
3. Orders and Conclusion of Contract
The presentation of products in our online store generally constitutes an invitation to customers to place an order.
By submitting an order, the customer makes a binding offer to purchase the selected products.
Once the order has been received, an automatic order confirmation is sent by email. This initially confirms receipt of the order.
The purchase contract is concluded once STEEP STATE TEA accepts the order, in particular by confirming the processing or shipment of the order or by dispatching the ordered goods.
We reserve the right not to accept or to cancel orders in justified cases, in particular in the event of:
- obvious pricing or input errors,
- lack of product availability,
- technical errors,
- suspected fraud or misuse.
Any payments already made for orders that are not accepted or are cancelled will be refunded.
Before completing the order, customers can review and, where technically possible, correct the information entered during checkout.
4. Prices and Payment
The prices displayed in the online store at the time of the order apply.
Prices are shown in the currency displayed in the store. Any additional shipping costs are shown before the order is completed.
Depending on availability, the following payment methods may in particular be offered:
Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and TWINT.
Payments are processed by the respective payment service providers.
STEEP STATE TEA does not store complete credit card details or other complete payment information on its own servers.
5. Vouchers, Discounts and Promotions
Discounts, vouchers and special promotions apply in accordance with the respective stated conditions.
Unless expressly stated otherwise for a promotion, there is no entitlement to the retrospective application of a discount to orders that have already been completed.
Whether multiple discounts or promotions can be combined depends on the conditions of the respective promotion and the technical settings of the online store.
6. Delivery and Shipping
We currently deliver exclusively within Switzerland. Deliveries to selected countries of the European Union are in preparation.
Orders are generally processed within 1–3 business days.
After dispatch, the usual delivery time within Switzerland is approximately 2–5 business days.
Actual delivery times may vary, in particular due to the shipping provider, destination region, public holidays, seasonal demand or other circumstances.

7. Returns and Refunds
As our products are food products, returns can generally only be accepted for unopened, unused and originally sealed products.
Return requests may be made within 14 days of receipt of the order.
Opened food products and products with damaged or altered seals are generally excluded from voluntary returns for health and food-safety reasons.
Return shipping costs are generally borne by the customer unless the return is due to an error by STEEP STATE TEA or a damaged or incorrect delivery.

Statutory rights relating to defective goods remain unaffected.
8. Damaged or Incorrect Deliveries
If an order arrives damaged or an incorrect product has been delivered, please contact us, where possible, within 48 hours of receipt, providing the order number and appropriate photographs.
We will review the individual case and offer an appropriate solution.
Notification within 48 hours facilitates processing and does not restrict statutory rights.
9. Availability
Our products are offered only while stocks are available.
If an ordered product is no longer available after an order has been received, we will inform the customer as soon as possible.
Any payments already made for unavailable products will be refunded.
10. Intellectual Property
The content of this website, in particular texts, images, photographs, graphics, logos and designs, is, unless otherwise stated, the property of STEEP STATE TEA or is used with appropriate authorisation.
Reproduction, publication, modification or commercial use of such content without prior consent is not permitted unless a statutory exception applies.
11. Liability
STEEP STATE TEA is liable in accordance with applicable statutory provisions.
For delays or failures to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we are liable only to the extent provided for by law.
Mandatory statutory claims and liability provisions remain unaffected.
12. Data Protection
Our online store is operated using the Shopify e-commerce platform. Shopify processes personal data when customers visit our online store and place orders.
With Shopify Network Intelligence enabled, Shopify may also use this data together with information from interactions with other Shopify merchants and Shopify itself to provide and improve additional services.
For these purposes, personal data may be disclosed to Shopify, participating service providers and other third parties, including outside Switzerland.

13. Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions and the contractual relationship are governed by Swiss law.
Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular mandatory consumer protection provisions, remain unaffected.
14. Changes to the Terms and Conditions
We may amend these Terms and Conditions if our services, business processes or legal requirements change.
For an order, the version of the Terms and Conditions published and applicable at the time of the order generally applies.
